Client Policies and Terms of Service
At Salty Paws Bespoke Dog and House Sitting Service, I am committed to providing reliable
and personalized care for your pets and home. To ensure a seamless experience, please
review the following policies before booking.
1. Booking & Payment Terms
• A 50% deposit is required at least two weeks before the start of the booking to
confirm the service.
• The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before the service is
due to commence.
• Accepted payment methods include cash and BACS Transfer.
• Late payments may result in cancellation or delays in service.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
• Cancellations made within two weeks of the service commencing will be fully
refunded.
• Cancellations made less than two weeks before the service begins will result in the
deposit being held.
• Any cancellations within 48 hours of the service commencing may result in
additional fees, depending on circumstances.
• In the case of emergencies or extenuating circumstances, exceptions may be
considered on a case-by-case basis.
3. Pet Care Policies
• Health & Medication: All pets must be up to date on vaccinations and flea/tick
prevention. Any medical concerns must be disclosed prior to booking.
• Behavioral Issues: Aggressive or unpredictable behavior must be communicated
beforehand. Severe aggression may result in service refusal.
• Emergency Care: In case of illness or injury, I will attempt to contact the client and
seek veterinary care if necessary. Costs are the client’s responsibility.
• Walking Policy: For the safety of all pets, I will not carry out off-lead walks. All dogs
will be walked on a secure lead, at all times.
4. House Sitting Policies
• Security & Access: Clients must provide clear instructions on home security,
including alarms, key handling, and access limitations.
• Property Care: The home will be respected and kept tidy, but any additional
cleaning beyond basic upkeep may incur an extra charge.
• Mail & Deliveries: I can collect mail and packages as instructed by the client but I
will not be held liable for any lost or damaged deliveries during my stay
• Plants & Garden Care: I will follow watering schedules and care instructions as
provided.
• Liability Limitations: I am not responsible for unforeseen incidents such as
plumbing, electrical issues, or burglaries while house sitting.
5. Legal & Liability Policies
• Insurance & Indemnity: Clients are responsible for ensuring their pets and home
are covered by adequate insurance.
• Damage & Responsibility: Any damage caused by pets (chewing, accidents, etc.) is
not the sitter’s responsibility.
• Confidentiality: Personal and home details will be kept strictly confidential and not
shared with third parties.
